Christine Hodgson: Light Painting
I stated photography over 40 years ago exchanging a fiancé for a camera for exchange. Since then, I've been a member of Huddersfield Camera Club, Normanton, Harrogate and Leeds finally last year returning to Huddersfield Photo Imaging Club. In the mid 1990s I enrolled at Huddersfield College undertaking several darkroom modules gaining my City and Guilds in Photography and my LRPS. In 2010 was award a first-class honours degree in photography and my ARPS. I have unsuccessfully attempted the RPS fellowship, but it wasn't meant to be. My passion for photography is just as strong and I try to immerse myself on a day bases.

The lecture will cover a brief overview of camera equipment required, camera settings and the relationship between ISO, F stop and Bulb mode. The importance of focus peaking as an aid for accurate focusing. And clothing
For light painting I will bring along a few torches and a wide variety acrylic tool, used in the manipulation of light. These will range from various shaped acrylic blades to different lengths of flexible tubes and crystal pen writers. Naming a few items.
The lecture is intended as a practical evening encouraging members to have go, so please bring along your camera and tripod.
